Ideas for Intentionality 14/52: Courage for the Future, Romanticize Everyday, and Easy Sourdough

by Taylor Barrett

Happy Friday!

Are you worried about the future and if you will have the courage to face it?

Take hope from this portion of The Hiding Place (one of my favorite biographies and an amazing true story!):

Little Corrie was worried about the future  and her father said these wise words:

“Father sat down on the edge of the narrow bed. “Corrie,” he began gently,

“When you and I go to Amsterdam-when do I give you your ticket?”

I sniffed a few times, considering this.

“Why, just before we get on the train.”

“Exactly. And our wise Father in heaven knows when we’re going to need things, too. Don’t run out ahead of Him, Corrie.”

God gives us what we need in the exact moment we need it and, many times, not a second sooner.

I hope this frees you up to stay in the present moment with Him today and entrust the future to Him. He will give you what you need when you need it!

Ideas for Intentionality:

The Hiding Place: If you haven’t read this transformational story, you are missing out!

My Beeswax Candlestick Obsession: Simply lighting these over a very subpar dinner takes the mood to a whole other level even with grumpy toddlers and fussy babies. Dinner time doesn’t have to be as stressful if we just tweak a couple of things like the lighting or the music.

An Investment in My Sanity: Got this big box of baby locks that just stick on, they aren’t perfect, BUT are super easy to put on. Will they last forever? No, they probably won’t but I just need them for the next year or so while the baby tries to unload every cabinet.

Audible Listen with Kids: Pilgrim’s Progress – it isn’t the easiest to understand, but there are little things that are sticking with them. I throw it on while they eat lunch and we just listen to one 3-4 minute chapter at a time and then I ask them what they heard.

I am curious to get this book that is a bit scaled down for kids too.

Amazing Blackout Curtains: I got these curtains for my kids from my designer friend (Hand Gathered Home – she is amazing, check her out!) and she was right! They look like linen and their room is black at night! And this is the rod I got to go with it.

New Green Powder: This has made me feel like I am coming back to life after 15 months of nursing and cosleeping! I have been mixing a scoop of this green powder with Just Ingredients raspberry electrolytes, plus a couple of drops of minerals, and a dash of Redmond real salt once a day. I simply shake it up in a shaker bottle! The green powder is every bit as solid nutritionally as AG1 powder, but 1/2 the price.

Use my link for 10% off the green powder! You can also use GIRLTEACHME10 for 10% off Just Ingredients if you want the electrolytes!

What else am I working on?

Have you been learning sourdough and you want to a replacement to the store bought hamburger buns full of unnecessary ingredients? I’ve got you! This is a super EASY recipe! You can also use the dough to make bread, buns, and pizza!

 Video of the Week:

In case you missed it last week…let’s reset for Spring together!

And a new video is coming on Friday!

Sending love,

Lana

P.S. Want some cute matching Easter dresses for your girls? My girls have loved these!

Pregnant P.S. Need some scriptural birth affirmations? Here is one I made for Labor Without Fear that you can listen to for free. Sending love and prayers to all you expectant mamas! God created birth and He will carry you through!
