Ideas for Intentionality 16/52: The Power of a Smile, Birth Recovery Tip, and Easy Protein Bites

by Taylor Barrett

Happy Friday!

I am sad to say that I tend to smile the least at the people I love the most.

I am working on it, because of this quote:

“A smile says: I like you. You make me happy. I am glad to see you!”

– Dale Carnegie

Our kids do need to be reminded that we like them, that they make us happy and that we are glad to see them. But also, our husbands!

It is so easy to take these loved ones for granted, but a smile is so easy to share. It costs nothing, but creates much!

Ideas for Intentionality:

Books We Are Reading: In our morning read aloud, we are on the 5th book of the Little House on the Prairie series. Personally, I am reading How to Win Friends and Influence People, For the Family’s Sake, and as always, the Power of Christian Contentment (my daily reminder to stop grumbling and be truly thankful).

Everylife Diapers: It’s been nice for the last 16 months to not run out of diapers or have to run to the store just for diapers. Ya know how it goes, ya go to the store for one thing and end up with a buggy full. I have loved these clean, pro-life diapers that come to my door.

Birth Course: Did you know that I have a birth course to help you in case you have ever thought of going natural? After 5 unmedicated births, I can say that natural birth usually has the best recovery for the postpartum period. Here is a free class I have that gives you a taste of what I am talking about.

Green Probiotic Powder: I just finished my first bag of the Live it Up green powder and I do think it has made some difference this month, although it is still a bit too early to tell. If you have heard of AG1 it is very similar, but in my opinion, the Live it Up green powder tastes a bit better and it’s ½ the price.

Easy Whipped Cream Recipe for Strawberry Season: This 3 ingredient recipe is such a crowd pleaser, and it comes together in 10 minutes or less without all the crazy ingredients of the store-bought brands.

What else am I working on?

This is the best peanut butter protein ball recipe!
