Ideas for Intentionality 20/52: 💭 What Older Women Have Taught Me, an 8 Year Old’s Birthday, and a Humbling Reminder

by Taylor Barrett

Happy Friday,

This quote really spoke to my heart this week, especially as a mama:

“How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.”

Wow, how humbling!

I hope that quote spurs you on like it does me!

IDEAS FOR INTENTIONALITY:

Here are some random items I have picked up lately:

Rubberband Kit for Daughters: My two girls, 8 and 5, have been rubber band bracelet machines haha. It has been fun to watch their little fingers work at making these bracelets, and it keeps their hands busy during read alouds.

Toothbrushes Seem to Have Legs in My Family: With 6 kids it seems that toothbrushes go missing easily haha. So I reordered this pack that we like.

Lots of Cinnamon Sticks: My husband has been on a kick of adding cinnamon sticks with lemon to hot water. It is pretty yummy!

What I Got My 8 Year Old for Her Birthday:

Sewing Machine: This is the sewing machine that this course recommends. I bought the course for her and I to work through this summer.

Wildflower Lamp: I can’t vouch for this yet, but it looked cute! I am a sucker for florals.

Floral Wrapping Paper: Ok this is so pretty! And handy for so many present needs.

Girl Book Celebrating How God Made Us: The author came and spoke at my church so I thought this book would be good to read with my girls.

Random Squishy: Ok this is the MOST random thing I have ever shared, but the little kids seem to all be obsessed with squishy stuff and she wanted one.

     SALES/LAUNCHES TO KNOW ABOUT

Just Ingredients Sale still going! A HUGE 10% off all subscriptions for Vitamins / Supplements + GIRLTEACHME10 code stacks to give you an extra 10% for supplements.

Neuflora: Their May Collection drops next week on the 20th. The Camirose skirt looks so dreamy! I am planning on getting it + some tanks for the warmer weather.

Other Items I Liked in the Neuflora May Collection:

-The Marbella bag looks like it’s great quality, I have one similar and I have used it no joke the last 5 years and it gets better and better.

-The cami bras cut wide down the back to hide your bra for those lower backed dresses. That was a good idea for them to create a bra to go with their dress cuts.

What I Wish I Knew and What I’m Learning Now – I have relied on the wisdom, advice, and practical example of so many older wiser women who have gone before me! As a mom of 6, I want to share with you what I have learned from them and what I am still learning now.

    FREE RESOURCE

If you’re pregnant and are desiring to give birth naturally for the first time or again, I created this free course just for you! I truly believe it will bless you.

Sending love,

Lana

P.S. Did you take me up on watching Solo Mio? My husband actually said he wants to watch it again soon. It was that good.

Pregnancy P.S. I have been enjoying some of these herbal blends from Milk Moon, there are some for fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum.
