Happy Friday!
Picking back through the book For the Family’s Sake this week and I stumbled upon this quote:
“Ordinary life lived faithfully is where the glory of God is best reflected.”
-Susan Schaeffer Macaulay
I think this sums up so much of what I am trying to share through Girl, Teach Me!
That our lives, even in the most mundane moments, can be worship.
And this means that when we live our ordinary (mostly hidden) lives faithfully, it brings so much glory to God and blesses our family, friends, and community.
Sending love your way for every diaper you will change, dish you will wash, towel you will fold, and book you will read to your child today! It is important work!
Here is what we have been loving!
IDEAS FOR INTENTIONALITY
Wise Phone: I am LOVING my Wise Phone! I really did like my Light Phone, but my Wise phone is the perfect balance of having all the tools I love:
Audible, Venmo, Spotify, Waze, Bible App and more without any way to access social media or even search the internet. I am not scrolling on anything with my phone thankfully! I can get/send pictures and videos too! I missed that so much when I had the Light Phone.

Precious People: I officially started our first week of this Ancient History curriculum and it is soooo good! One of the best parts is I get to learn alongside my kids, what a gift!
Pregnancy Items I Restocked On: I typically just give my pregnancy stuff away because I always think it is my last baby and by the time I am 6 months postpartum I am sick of storing some of this stuff haha!
So I grabbed another pregnancy wedge (my favorite sleep hack!), got these yoga pants, thesebiker shorts (perfect under dresses), and this bodysuit that I wear with a cardigan at home and even under some outfits!
Laundry Stain Remover: I just wrote a blog post on what the top 3 mistakes are with laundry and how to just do laundry better! In the post, I recommend keeping a bottle of this under the sink and just hitting any stains you see at home immediately.
Watercolor Books: Got each kid their own watercolor book (got myself one too! Yes, mama wants to paint and have fun too!) I let the kids pick their own: one kid got the ocean theme, 2 got jungle, and my 9 year old and I chose the forest one! This palette is great to pair with it to make watercolor accessible to anyone!
Protein Bars: I was curious about these new protein bars from Just Ingredients because it seems almost impossible to find clean protein bars without seed oils and “natural” flavors. Well, these are just delicious and come out to around $3 a bar which is pretty normal for high quality protein bars you can take on the go (so handy!)
** But if you want a homemade version, these protein bites are pretty close!
Favorite Electrolytes are Back in Stock: these electrolytes are our family’s favorite and sometimes they sell out, because the Rasberry Lemonade flavor has dried organic raspberries which are not always easy to source year round. I am stocking back up, because I have missed this flavor!

P.S. My husband introduced me to this country song this week and y’all I love it! I feel the lyrics so deeply when it comes to even doing Girl, Teach Me and how many people thought I was a bit crazy putting myself out there. Same for homebirth, homeschooling, and every unconventional dream I have had… What is it for you? “Don’t let nobody clip your wings…”
