Ideas for Intentionality 23/52: ✨ The Magic of Momentum, YOUR Top 10 Favorite Items, and Homeschool Curriculum Sale

by Taylor Barrett

Happy Friday,

I decided to not wait until I really understood how to do a box garden this week and just try (but I did watch a certain Youtube video 3x first haha-I am still a researcher!)

The gal from the video has a theory of planting herbs and flowers around the rims of the box garden to deter pests and bring beauty.

So I went for it. I got garden dirt delivered to my house via a local garden center, picked out a bunch of flowers, herbs, and veggies and I will let you know what I think!

For me, momentum is magic!

Getting going and not overthinking at every turn makes a huge difference. Once I got going on the garden, it led to me getting mulch for the landscaping and finding a new $30 (still in the box!) faucet for the bathroom on marketplace. I feel like I am making PROGRESS on this house and in life.

What is it for you? What can you bust a move on this summer? Let’s get that momentum and feel good hormones flowing!

I am excited for us both!

IDEAS FOR INTENTIONALITY:

I thought it would be fun to share a “TOP 10 ITEMS” y’all have been loving on Amazon this month:

The Read of The Summer: Need a good summer beach read? This one is perfect!

Maternity (OR NOT) Skirts: I love these skirts. They have built in spandex shorts under them and they feel sooo good on my belly. They will grow and shrink with you through pregnancy, postpartum and after. I have pink, but I am planning to get the black and green for summer.

Lego Idea book: Tired of buying lego kits for $49 that they just fly through in 30 mins? This book gives them endless projects! My son has two of these books and it will be perfect this summer to keep your boy’s minds busy building amazing projects.

Squeeze Toy: On the cheese squeeze toy, just let me say sorry on this one! It didn’t last long, but they did love every second of it while it lasted 😜 I think if I had to do it again I would have got this one it was more expensive but way better reviews! Kids are just crazy about these right now.

Must Read for All Young Girls: The author came and spoke at my church so I thought this book would be good to read with my girls.

Women of the Word: This is my absolute FAVORITE book to help you figure out HOW to read your Bible. I have read this book multiple times and even listened to it! So good!

Clean Sunscreen: I really like this sunscreen above all others on my face. It is clear and doesn’t leave ANY grease on my face.

Cleaner Toothbrushes: If you’re trying to get rid of some of the plastic items you use on your skin like I have been, I’ve liked these bamboo toothbrushes. They’re also biodegradable!

Boys Swim Trunks: My boys think these are the most COMFORTABLE swim trunks. I like the built in compression shorts. I like to put my kids in bright swimsuits too so I can easily spot them at the pool.

Cool Goggles: We enjoy these goggles but they are a little small for big boys. Best for ages 5-8.

    NOTABLE SALES 🥳

Thinking about Homeschool?: The Peaceful Press is having a birthday sale and I LOVE her curriculum – it just changes the atmosphere of homeschool. I love her parent guide in the curriculum, choice of beautiful supplies, choice of art, and amazing booklists.

*Use the code 10YEARS to get a free cookbook with your purchase (the cookbook is actually great!)

Driving the Struggle Bus? Here’s Help for Low Energy Days: Feeling like you are driving the struggle bus or maybe even that you are being drug behind the struggle bus? I get that feeling too! So how do we keep showing up and being intentional even on our low energy days? That is what we are unpacking today! 🙌

    ON THE BLOG

Peach Ice Cream: This could be swapped up with any seasonal fruit!

    LABOR WITHOUT FEAR
