Ideas for Intentionality 27/52: Reflection Challenge ⏰, Education Resources, and Help for the Hard Days

by Taylor Barrett

Happy Friday!

Happy 4th of July! And happy middle of the year! Can you believe that half of 2025 is already behind us?

There have probably been some unforeseen highs and lows.

One meaningful exercise my husband loves to do on yearly retreats is to reflect and just ponder all the ways we have seen the Lord move this year.

It can be so easy to forget that meal a friend brought when the kitchen flooded or the bags of clothes a friend brought over for your girls when you were JUST about to go shopping.

These are little winks from the Lord that help me remember that He SEES us and knows what we are going through.

And yet these can be easy things to forget.

So sometimes it is fun to slow down and intentionally try to remember.

Challenging you and I both to a mid-year kind of reflection.

This way we can start the 2nd half of the year being thankful for all the ways the Lord moved in the first half of the year.

Ideas for Intentionality:

Considering Homeschool? Here are some of my favorite resources:

– Peaceful Press Preschool: I am obsessed with the wisdom she shares in the parent guide and this was a wonderful start and education for me when I began my homeschool journey years ago.

– My Favorite Reading Curriculum: I love All About Reading. I started with Good and the Beautiful and ya know it was ok (esp for math), but ultimately I tried All About Reading when my reading specialist said I should start my boys on it and it totally got them reading in no time.

Face Products I Have Been Loving:

– Face Cleaning Oil: I love washing the makeup and grim from the day away with this cleansing oil. I recently started using this stainless steel gua sha in the shower with the oil. Just a little something I enjoy doing at the end of the day AND I love that the oil doesn’t strip my skin of its natural oils.

– Frownies: I know I look crazy with these on at night, but when I am consistent I CAN see a difference. I also like that it makes my forehead relax at night which is where I seem to carry a lot of tension.

– Clarifying Clean Shampoo: the kids used my shower and sadly the bottle I ordered like 3 weeks ago is gone, so I had to reorder my Attitude shampoo. The GOOD news is that it $14 vs $50 shampoo. It is hard to believe it is such a good price and it has the EWG stamp of approval for being clean and not harmful for our bodies.

Birth Course

Did you know I have a birth course that shares all that I have learned from 5 natural births?

I personally promise that if it doesn’t completely change your birth experience (especially from the state of mind you are in and the peace you feel through the whole process) that I will 100% give you your money back. I am certain that this information would have shifted my whole birthing experience the 1st, 2nd and even 3rd time around.

 New Videos:

Help for a New Mom’s Hard Day:

This is a video I am hoping you can keep in your back pocket for those REALLY hard days, because everyone has them.

You Can Be Free from Digital Addiction:

Sharing how I have been off Instagram for a year and how detoxing from a reliance on screens has shifted so much for me as a woman and a mother.

Sending love,

Lana

P.S.

Here is a fun a youtuber I found this week, I don’t know how to crochet, but her passion for this handicraft is so lovable!
