Ideas for Intentionality 52/52: Planning for New Year, Yearly Recap, and Getting Good Energy

by Lana Sullivan

Here we are on the edge of a New Year! Wow!

For the few of you who have been with this email all 52 weeks! I hope and pray that this email has been your weekly nudge for intentionality!

One practice that has been helpful to my husband and myself is to look BACK before we look AHEAD. It has been helpful to remember how the Lord has been a rock through hard times and provided (sometimes just in time).

To remember that one way we often feel the love of Jesus is through the people we have in our lives.

Seasons of life can feel like chapters in a book. A chapter might open with excitement, but soon a story loop is opened because of some kind of trial, job change, diagnosis, strain, or challenge.

Then there we are living in-between chapters where we are living by faith, not by sight…moving forward with the little light we have inch by inch.

Here is a link to my personal yearly recap. Some moments this year were amazing, refreshing and some felt like FIRE.

God has been in and through it all!

Sharing to give you an idea of how you can sit down and reflect before you look forward.

Here are some Ideas for Intentionality as you savor the rest of 2024 and look ahead to 2025:

Ideas for Intentionality:

YouTube Video for Goal Setting: Sharing how the Lord helped me step out of some depression over 6 years ago and gave me passion again to dream big, even as a mom. Our kids need to see passion for life in our eyes. I share how to get that passion for the new year in this video.

Book to Help You Make Goals: This book and the downloads it comes with are what Matt and I used 3 years ago on our yearly reset. This book has helped us start businesses, save money, and even dream together!

Weekly Couple’s Check In: This is the spreadsheet my husband and I use for our weekly check-in. You can copy it and customize it in a way that works for you and your husband. It has been so helpful to grow our team work and communication.

Take Back Your Home Mini-Course: One big goal could be transforming the atmosphere of your home this year! This mini-course gives you some actionable steps to cultivate a home you actually want to be in.

Homeschool Curriculum for Reading: Feel like you aren’t making the progress you want to be with your young reader? This was me! My friend who is a reading specialist pointed me to this. It has been a huge help! I was scared of it for a while, but now that I am going with it, I see it works!

Making Your 2025 Reading List?: Here is a big list of all 64 books that have helped me on my journey as a Christian Woman separated by category.

Health Book I Am Reading: Have you heard of this new book from a doctor who walked away from being a surgeon, because she believed that the medical system was broken and wasn’t good at helping people get or stay healthy? I can’t recommend the whole book, but 90% of it is on point!

Yearly Recap: My hope is to inspire you to write your own, it was so insightful and great to remember all that God has done this year!

Want to send this email to a friend, just copy and paste this link:

Sending love,

Lana

P.S. I would love to hear your feedback on this email and what you would love to see shift with it in the new year. You can’t hurt my feelings. I love feedback. I want to hear what you think could make this weekly email better for you!

Pregnant P.S. This is the number one book I recommend within my birth course. The birth stories are so helpful, even though I don’t agree with all the new age thoughts by the author.
