Happy Friday,
My kitchen floor is installed! Nothing fancy, just the flooring we had before… but Y’ALL, I am so grateful! Made two brothy soups this week and my whole family was saying,
“Ah! I have missed this!”
I could cook with my floor the way it was before, but it is a million times better now.
BUT ya know, I think of how amazing women of the past made meals in all kinds of circumstances – nomadically going across the prairie, etc. And even you ladies living in RVs or other cramped circumstances… perspective, right?!
Well Halloween is a week away or Reformation Day, depending on who you talk to?
Such a spicy, divisive topic in the Christian world. But I truly do see this issue as an open-handed one that comes down to personal leadings of conviction and the Holy Spirit.
Just some small thoughts for the road since I did get a thoughtful email asking my thoughts on Halloween:
There will be tons of videos and reels yelling their convictions either way, I think it is best to get quiet with the Lord, the Word, and see how He leads each unique family.
And then walk in freedom either way!
What We Have Been Loving Lately!
IDEAS FOR INTENTIONALITY
Kid are loving my tallow: I notice my jar by my nightstand keeps getting opened as little fingers come and put some on their lips and dry spots. I have been lathering it all over my bump and my face too! I think the essential oil blend called Sweet Girl is my fav, with frankincense as a close 2nd.
Matt’s Birthday Presents: I got him some new work out/coaching clothes at lululemon this week. It is always a splurge, but he wears the stuff over and over! I got him some joggers, a thick black t-shirt, and some underwear that he loves. They would be great Christmas gifts for the men in your life!
Homeschool Hits: The kids have loved Explode the Code, they can mostly do it independently and they have been flying through it. I love some good independent supplemental books so I can keep a kid busy while I work with littles.
Neuflora October Drop: This Wednesday was the October Drop. They do monthly releases and you need to be on their email list to see everything. Some items I got are still available! I got the Vienna Coat, Durango Dress, and the Henrietta Quilted Jacket. GIRLTEACHME10 gives you 10% off
*If I wasn’t pregnant I would think about the Leone top and Evangeline Top
Whole List of Christmas Items: I told you last week that I am serious about prepping early for Christmas. Here is a list of all the decorations and wrapping I have gone ahead and gotten before prices spike after Halloween.
Matchy Cutie Girl Outfits: I am loving this little Amazon girls outfit and am thinking of getting my 5 year old a little matching one! Plus, these cutie matching Christmas sweaters are just precious!
Back on the Protein Train: I have been reminded how much protein matters when it comes to staying lean, warding off hunger, keeping kids full longer, and the list goes on and on. I have started doing raw milk smoothies in the mid-morning with the peanut butter chocolate protein powder and a frozen banana. Y’all it’s sooo good! And I do feel more alert without the sugar dip of tons of carbs in the morning.
***even adding protein powder to yogurt, pancakes, and oatmeal can change a whole breakfast

P.S. Listening to this book has been so timely for me with a close friend and mentor passing away this week. Grief is just not easy for anyone, but stacking worry on top simply doesn’t help.
Pregnant P.S. Yay the Youtube video for this week was MADE for YOU! My top Pregnancy Essentials!
