Happy Friday,
It’s been bananas over here with all the baseball, softball, postpartum, and my husband’s busy season for work. So just holding on for the ride right now!
I had a day this week where I just was straight up mean and not doing well. It made me pause in reflection on the fact that if I am not actively doing all I can to get sleep and stay well, then I am doing a disservice to my family.
Sure, we could cut out all the sports and I could cut out Girl, Teach Me, etc. But truly, for me it is about putting in the BIG rocks first and then letting the other things fill in around it.
I have been failing a bit on putting those BIG rocks in place and I pay for it every time. So grateful God’s mercies are new for you and me everyday! He is slow to anger and abounding in love for us as we learn and grow.
I am also grateful that I don’t have to perform for Jesus. He already lived perfectly in our place, whew what a sigh of relief that truly is!
IDEAS FOR INTENTIONALITY:
Spring Cleaning!
Plan for Shower Mildew: Anybody got ideas on how to keep the grout clean? Here is what I have found after doing some research! Getting these attachments for a power drill, yes you read right… power drill. It’s supposed to bring the muscle that is needed to get the grit off the shower walls.
*I am doing more research on this topic (keeping the shower clean and free of mildew aka mold), so I shall report back. Please share what you know!
Clean Laundry Detergent Research: Ok I really like Branch Basics and Truly Free (here is a post where I talk about both), but I am trying to find the most economical option, so I am trying out this Nellie’s Laundry Soda. It has good reviews and it is even cheaper if you have Costco – they will ship it with no fee. It comes out to 19 cents a load on Amazon and 11 cents a load on Costco.
Use LANA15 for 15% off Branch Basics!
Use this link for $90 off the whole TrulyFree laundry system!
Books I Am Ordering:
Power of Christian Contentment: Sometimes it’s fun to pass a favorite book to a friend, so I gave this book to a sweet friend recently. But I’m ready to read it again so I am ordering another one! This is the number one book I recommend to keep by your bedside other than your Bible.
Magic Tree Hour Books: My boys have had a hard time getting into reading, but these books have helped them get excited to read. We are on the 14th book now, but we started with a starter pack.
Every Moment Holy: My brother is graduating from college this year and I am getting him this book for Rites of Passage. Sometimes when you don’t have words to pray, liturgies like this are such a refreshment for the soul.
LABOR WITHOUT FEAR
Did you know I have a birth course?
After 6 natural births, I have loved getting to walk women through how to approach labor with faith instead of fear. There is so much I wish I knew before my first few births. This course is how I am passing along the knowledge and skills I wish I had to begin with.

Sending love,

P.S. Have you heard of the Shroud of Turin? A friend of mine recommended this podcast of an expert explaining why he is convinced it is the true face of Jesus and it sounds so interesting… I’m going to watch it with my boys later!
Pregnancy P.S. If you need some postpartum help, I am enjoying this Milk Moon tincture mixed in some orange juice and the Garden of Life B12 because I don’t have the MTHFR gene.
