Happy Friday!
August, in many ways, feels a bit like January in terms of a new start, except you can still go to the pool!
I heard this quote recently and I think it hits on what so many seem to struggle with, mainly because some of us tend to overthink things.
“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”
– Zig Ziglar
Some of you might want to start exercising, dive deeper into your Bible, homeschool your kids, or even start that side-hustle project you have felt drawn to.
And yet, the first step is starting.
I hope you can take advantage of the energy that seems to be a buzz in August to say no to “paralysis by analysis” and just start!
Here are my ideas for intentionality to help you START strong this week, I split them up by goal:
Ideas for Intentionality:
Starting to Level Up Taking Care of Yourself
(So you can care well for others):
Basic Multivitamin: This seems so simple, but just helping our body have a little support can go a long way.
Running/Walking Shoes: Ok these shoes can get dirty quick, but they feel like clouds on my feet!
Mineral Drops and Electrolytes: I harp on this all the time, but I promise you will feel so much better if you add this combo of mineral drops and electrolytes to your life on the regular.
Recipe Book from the Wild Side: I have been enjoying this cookbook and if you want to get healthy, the wisdom is power packed with ancient nutrition.
Starting Homeschool or Get Intentional with Your Toddlers:
Here is a Newer Video:Here are some easy steps to get going with homeschool and a blog post with all the curriculum I recommend.
Preschool Curriculum: I love this curriculum for getting a basic understanding of how homeschool is an extension of life together at home.
Wild + Free Book: This book helped me break out of the idea that school at home has to look like traditional school. There is wayyyy more freedom to homeschooling than that!
Starting to Read More
(I think you will grow a million times more than scrolling through the Fall):
Here is my HUGE reading list: This reading list has every category to help you become a leveled up mama!
What I am Reading Now: I am listening to the Clarence Thomas Biography, finishing the Ideal Team Player, and I am always reading the Power of Christian Contentment (started keeping it in the car and reading the kids a snippet before we get out of the car or while we wait in the car – sorry you are all buckled in and must listen 😜)
Starting a New Business:
Side-Hustle Ideas: Here is a new video with 10 Side-Hustle Ideas for SAHMs + a blog post with more details on how I got started with my business.
YouTube Course I Took: Here is how I got started with YouTube and learned to edit.
Sendowl:This is a fun platform where you can keep a low monthly cost and sell digital printables (this is how I got started – I shared more details in this blog post).
Hero on a Mission: This book has helped my husband and I really understand that if we want something in life we are going to have to just start and to remember who is depending on us to start.
