Ideas for Intentionality 32/52: Dusty Bibles, Just Ingredients Big Sale, Help for New Homeschoolers

by Taylor Barrett

Happy Friday!

Have you heard the new song by Josiah Queen called Dusty Bibles? Whew!

Here are the lyrics:

“We got dust on our bibles, brand-new iPhones

No wonder why we feel this way

We walk with our eyes closed, blind leading blind folks

And I’m done with those idols and dusty bibles”

What is the saying, “If you can’t say amen, say ouch!”

The song is really sooo good AND it does bring up a real issue in our culture.

With so much anxiety, depression, lack of contentment and constant comparison…

Could our dusty Bibles and brand new iPhones be part of the reason we feel this way?

Thoughts to mull on this week for sure!

Ideas for Intentionality:

Just Ingredients Biggest Sale of the Year 20% off everything + use my code (GIRLTEACHME10) for free shipping:

Here is what I stocked up on + saved $45 with the 20% off:

– French Vanilla Protein Powder: This flavor is the most versatile of all the protein powders IMO, and it is casein-free too. Casein is one the hardest proteins for the tummy to digest.

– Trying New Protein Bars: I bought both the flavors because truly protein bars are one of the hardest items to find clean in the stores. They usually are full of seed oils. So I got the Coconut Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip to try.

– Hyaluronic Acid: This is my favorite makeup primer as it hydrates my skin without any leftover residue.

– Probiotic Complex + the Prenatal Trio with DHA and Iron

Want to Dust off Your Bible: Here is a 22 week video series I filmed years ago that holds your hand through the book of John. A dear friend from church said she is doing it while she writes out the book of John (can do it in a journal or journible) AND she loves pairing it with the Chosen bc so much of the Chosen is taken from the book of John.

Lighting Up the Closets: I realized that all my closets have ZERO light and that is why the organization is terrible. I found these puck lights that are magnetic + sticky, battery powered, and motion censored. So if you have a metal rack in the closet they will just BOOM stick! I did this to my homeschool closet and WOW did it make a difference.

Lovely Magazine Holders: I wanted to step up my game a little on homeschool organization (showing it all in my upcoming homeschool reset video). These magazine holders were a little pricey for being sturdy cardboard, but dang I just loved the color so much and the reviews were good.

Trying New Non-Toxic Laundry System: I have some friends who have been using Truly Free for years, so I decided to give it a try. Here is a link that saves you over $90 on trying the whole laundry system! I thought that was a crazy good deal!
