Happy Friday,
I was talking to a friend the other day about his mother who had passed away two years ago. He got a bit misty-eyed. He told me how incredible of a woman she was, but one thing he shared really struck me…
He said she never left the house without her purse in one hand and her Bible tucked under her arm.
He said she carried it everywhere she went.
Wow! That a son could remember such a beautiful testimony about his mother.
She really loved God’s word!
This was a challenge to me, how can I love God’s word more and rely on it more?
Food for thought this week, dear friends. Wouldn’t it be incredible if our kids remembered something like this about us one day?
It isn’t too late, we can start today on the legacy we leave with our children.
Here is what I have been loving lately and what has been pushing me to grow more:
IDEAS FOR INTENTIONALITY
The Toys that Didn’t Get Donated: A blog post is going out today that I did with an intentional list of toys that we use all the time and still feel were worth it.
Chocolate Peppermint Bone Broth Powder: Ok I was skeptical of this but ALL of my kids love it. We’ve used it like protein powder one time and another time like hot chocolate. Bone broth is amazing for your gut, joints, and so much more in your body.
Just Ingredients Restock: I was out of a few of my staples so this is what I got in this week:
- 2 bags of Raspberry Lemonade Electrolytes
- Tooth powder
- Magnesium Supplement
- Iron Supplement
- Creatine (new one) – here is a podcast episode on all the benefits!
- Chocolate Protein Powder + French Vanilla Powder
- You can use GIRLTEACHME10 for 10% off your whole order
Max the Cozy: I am telling you, one game changer that ramps up the coziness of our homes is to turn all the lights down low as the sun goes down. Use limited overhead lights, just lamps (these bulbs help everyone sleep better) and beeswax candles. Add some relaxing classical or relaxing Christmas music and boom you have a whole mood your family will tangibly feel and notice.
Do You Have This Book Yet?: I picked up this book again this week and decided to start reading it from the beginning vs. flipping to whatever page I come across. Both methods work for this book, but wow is it challenging me!
