Happy Friday!
I wanted to share a really important conversation Matt and I had with our boys (10 and 8) this week over breakfast that wasn’t planned, but WOW was it a WIN!
Casually, over breakfast we got to talking about how you have to be careful about what you search for on the internet, because there are some really sad, scary, and harmful things on the internet.
We shared that we are always a safe place to come talk about what they see on any screen. Whether it was by accident or not, because there comes a time for everyone when they see something that makes them feel uncomfortable on a screen.
We talked about how that uncomfortable feeling is from God and how we shouldn’t ignore that feeling.
We shared how we have seen things that make us uncomfortable on screens and how there will be a temptation to hide or ignore what we saw, but the best thing is to TELL someone and bring it into the LIGHT.
This sparked one of our kids telling us about a commercial they saw on Disney that made them uncomfortable (WIN they told us…😤 me deleting Disney as fast as I could and mad at myself I didn’t do it long ago.)
Sharing because these conversations always seem scarier on the outside than they are on the inside. But it is VITAL that our kids know they can come to us with ANYTHING.
Tackling these awkward convos are ALWAYS worth it!
OK, on a lighter note, here are some Ideas for Intentionality for this week:
Ideas for Intentionality:
Amazon Storefront: I now have an Amazon storefront for you! A handy place for links is so nice. You can see the Bestsellers from 2024 and a New Baby Essentials List for all you pregnant mamas.
Kid’s Dish Gloves: I have been working on getting my kids to help out with the house more. I discovered my 8-year-old boy LOVES washing dishes WITH gloves (Me dancing for joy! I am so grateful that he loves it!) These Korean dish gloves are a level up on keeping water out. Who knew dish gloves could be so motivating!
Baby Sweater Outfit: One solution to cold weather and babies is to layer this over their outfit when you go outside without adding too much bulk. Looks great on boys and girls and covers a wide range of growth for them, plus it is cotton, which I love!
BEST makeup remover: I love this cleansing oil from Toups and Co. The smell is divine, it takes off makeup and moisturizers at the same time. I put a dime size on my hands, massage it into my face, and then take off with a hot rag. It’s a good way to end the day!
Quality Sandals for Spring: These are literally the best quality leather sandals for women, kids and babies! I have been a fan for awhile! My fav styles for my 4-6 yr old girls are the Bellas and Estrellas. My favorite styles for toddlers are Adventuras and Floras. I have the Cruzs, but I am eyeing the Cream Bellas for myself.
***They are flat, so not a ton of arch support, but they are lovely!

Blogging???: A new friend, Haley (who took the same blogging course I did) reached out. Just wanted to share her new blog with you AND tell you that if you have ever thought of starting a blog, this course is how we both got started. The course spells it all out, even for tech challenged like myself.
Sending love,
Lana
P.S. Up late on Thursday night with my silly red light glasses on to write this email and just wanted to say I am so grateful for every one of you! I love hearing from you and I think the work you are doing is MASSIVELY important and that is why I love writing this email to just encourage you to stay in the good fight and not grow weary of doing good for your kids and family. It is a BIG job, but it has some of the best ROI for our time we could ever invest. I really believe it and I hope you do too!
Pregnant P.S. I made a NEW blog post for you because I know creating a registry can be confusing!
What else am I working on?

Video of the Week:
Some motivation for all of us who constantly hear that age old question…”What’s for dinner?”

Picture of the Week:
When people ask how I came to know Jesus one thing I always share is that my grandmother “Nannie” was ALWAYS praying for me! In any card she sent to me, she would include a heartfelt prayer for me. In my wild days of running from the Lord, her prayers always touched my heart. I share to encourage you to PRAY! And to thank all of those who you know have prayed for you for so long. What a gift to have someone who cares enough to pray for us!
