Here are 10 different ways to use Just Ingredients Protein Powder that you may not have thought of before!

Protein Powders can be added to so much more than just milk and water! I am going to share 10 different recipes from baking to smoothies that can use Protein Powders to increase the content of protein in a recipe.
Not all protein powders are created equal. Many protein powders have fake flavorings, hidden sugar and even toxic oils in them.
Quality Just Ingredients Protein Powder Ingredients
I have been using Just Ingredients Protein Powders since 2021, because the ingredients are so clean. There are no artificial or natural flavors, no artificial sweeteners or artificial preservatives, and no junk fillers in any of the Just Ingredients products.
Many people start using Just Ingredients Protein Powders and have less bloating and tummy issues that can happen with milk based protein powders.
Just Ingredients Protein Powder Ingredients List:
Just Ingredients Protein Powders are an all-natural protein powder made with four different protein sources and flavored without artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols. Made highest quality source of 100% Grass-Fed Non-Denatured Whey.

Why Should I Add Protein Powder to My Recipes?
- Amino acids are needed to make hormones in the body. Having enough protein in our diet helps the body produce and maintain these hormones.
- When we intake enough protein we feel fuller longer. Protein slows down digestion and stabilizes blood sugar levels.
- Protein triggers hormones that promote fullness.
- Protein is essential to our muscle growth, because it provides the amino acids we need for muscle growth, repair, and maintenance.

Protein Powder Options for Vegans and Milk-Allergies
What if you need a protein powder that is free from milk products altogether? Just Ingredients has options for that too. The protein comes from almonds, peas, coconuts, pumpkin seeds, and chai seeds.
Here are the 5 vegan options: Mint Chocolate, Peanut Butter Chocolate, Chocolate, Vanilla Bean, and Snickerdoodle.

Just Ingredients Protein Powder Shake
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups of milk of raw or organic milk
- 1 scoop of Just Ingredients Protein Powder (see notes for our family’s favorites)
- Add a scoop of ice
DIRECTIONS:
Add all the ingredients to the blender and blend until comes together
NOTES:
***We have enjoyed the French Vanilla, Creamy Peanut Butter Chocolate the most, but also Mint Chocolate, Chai, and Lemon Swish.
Just Ingredients Protein Powder Banana Swirl Smoothie

INGREDIENTS:
- 2-3 frozen bananas
- 1 cup of organic whole milk or raw milk
- 1-2 scoops of Just Ingredients Protein Powder
- We like the French Vanilla and Creamy Peanut Butter Chocolate flavors best for the Banana Swirl
DIRECTIONS:
- Add milk and protein powder into the blender with frozen bananas. I like to break the frozen bananas into before adding them into the blender.

NOTES:
*Blend until it comes together, but not too long. The frozen bananas make this taste like ice cream, but only while they are still frozen.
***With any chocolate flavor you can add handfuls of spinach and you can’t even taste it! Just turns it a bit green but keeps the chocolatey flavor
*If you have any leftovers consider adding them to these molds for popsicles laters.
Just Ingredients Protein Powder Yogurt

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup of Organic Greek Yogurt (I like the one with more fat)
- 1/2 a scoop of Lemon Swish Protein Powder
- 1/2 a cup of frozen blueberries or raspberries
- dash of maple syrup to desired sweetness
- optional chopped pecans or oats on top
DIRECTIONS:
Mix the yogurt and 1/2 a scoop of protein powder together until the powder is mixed in well. Then add frozen berries on top.
NOTES:
**The lemon swish protein powder has enough sweetness, but if you want a bit extra consider a drizzle of honey or maple syrup on top.
***French Vanilla is super yummy in yogurt as well, think of any fake flavoring they add to yogurt cups in the store and you can make your own healthy version with protein powder!
Just Ingredients Protein Powder Ice Cream
INGREDIENTS:
- Vanilla Ice Cream (I like Tillamook plain vanilla bc ingredient list is short)
- Scoop of any Just Ingredients Protein Powder, but we like the Mint Chocolate Protein Powder best for ice cream
- If you want the ice cream to be green like traditional mint chocolate chip ice cream add 2 teaspoons of spirulina (it is virtually tasteless, but turns ice cream greenish)
- Optional: add a mix in like frozen berries, chocolate chips, frozen bananas or cookie dough.
- A dash of milk or cream to help blend
DIRECTIONS:
- Put two cups of ice cream into a blender and add one scoop of Just Ingredients Protein Powder plus a dash or milk or cream to help the powder and ice cream come together
- Then add your desire mix ins
- Blend until it comes together, but don’t go too long or you will end up with a milkshake (unless that is your plan!)
NOTES:
*Best Just Ingredients Protein Powders for this are Mint Chocolate, French Vanilla for just adding more protein, Chocolate, or Salted Carmel. But I think the Peaches and Cream and Strawberries and Cream would be amazing with this too!
*Place into a springform pan and freeze to make an ice cream cake!
Just Ingredients Protein Powder Popsicles
INGREDIENTS:
- 2-3 frozen bananas
- 1 cup of organic whole milk or raw milk
- 1-2 scoops of Just Ingredients Protein Powder
- We like the French Vanilla and Creamy Peanut Butter Chocolate flavors best for the Banana Swirl
DIRECTIONS:
Add milk and protein powder into the blender with frozen bananas. I like to break the frozen bananas into before adding them into the blender. Blend a bit longer than you would if you wanted this to be a smoothie or add just a bit more milk, so that this pours easily into the molds.
- Pour the mixture into these stainless steel popsicle molds. They will be ready the next day.
NOTES:
* You can do this with any smoothie that uses Protein Powder to avoid the typical sweet juice popsicles that are in the store.
Just Ingredients Protein Powder Overnight Oats
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 ½ cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
- 2 tablespoons Chia Seeds black or white
- 2 scoops of Just Ingredients Protein Powder (44g of protein)
- 2 cups of raw or Organic Milk
- 2 tablespoons of Maple Syrup
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon (optional, but would skip if you use a chocolate flavor of protein powder)
DIRECTIONS:
- In a large mixing bowl, add old-fashioned rolled oats, chia seeds, protein powder, and cinnamon. Stir to mix together.
- (Chai seeds are essential for this recipe of the mixture will be too runny) (You can use ground flax but sometimes that has an off taste)
- Stir in milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Seal the bowl with a lid, refrigerate overnight. I recommend stirring the mixture 1 hour after you pop it in the fridge. This prevents the chia seeds from sinking to the bottom of the bowl.
- The next day, serve in small serving jars with peanut butter, yogurt, fresh berries, or nuts.
NOTES:
*Chai seeds are essential for this recipe of the mixture will be too runny) (You can use ground flax but sometimes that has an off taste
*This recipe doesn’t work with steel cut oats or quick oats
*You can store the recipe for up to 4-5 days in the fridge, in a glass container with a lid. The texture gets thicker and dryer after a few days, and you can thin out the recipe by adding a dash of extra milk.
*Yes, you can freeze this recipe in a small container, seal it with a lid, and freeze for up to 1 month. Thaw in the fridge the day before.
Just Ingredients Protein Powder Crepes
INGREDIENTS: (Makes 6 crepes)
- 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 scoop of Just Ingredients Protein Powder (French Vanilla or Snickerdoodle Flavor is best)
- 1 teaspoon of sugar (for sweet crepes)
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2 teaspoons of avacado oil or melted butter
- Reserve a little butter for the skillet when it is time to cook the crepes
- 1/2 cup of seltzer water (WAIT to add this) (also known as club soda, unflavored sparkling water, or soda water)
DIRECTIONS:
- Mix flours, protein powder, sugar, salt, eggs, milk and oil with a mixer really good. (WAIT on seltzer water)
- Transfer to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- When ready to cook slowly whisk seltzer water into the batter.
- Coat a large nonstick skillet or pre-heat a cast iron and add 1 TBSP of butter to either skillet on medium.
- Make sure the skillet is good and pre-heated before you pour the first crepe.
- Ladle 1/3 cup of batter to center of the pan, immediately tilt and rotate the pan to spread the batter evenly over the skillet
- Cook until the underside is lightly browned about 30 seconds to a minute each side.
- Using a spatula, lift the edge and flip. May need to use fingers to flip if spatula is narrow. Cook the other side as well
- Immediately fill with yummy goodness (see note for ideas) or put on a plate with a kitchen towel on top to help keep them warm.
NOTES:
*Just Ingredients French Vanilla Protein Power or Just Ingredients Snickerdoodle Protein Powder work best in this recipe.
*For a meal we omit the sugar, use the French Vanilla Protein Powder or the Just Plain Protein Powder and fill with cheese, eggs, sausage.
*For a dessert with friends we fill with homemade whip cream, cut strawberries, and a hazelnut spread like Nutella (found this one with better ingredients)
*You can use a pure unflavored sparkling water in this recipe, the crepes benefit from having the carbonation of the air bubbles.

Just Ingredients Protein Powder Review
I usually aim to consume around 100g of protein per day. What is amazing is that one serving of protein powder provides 1/4 of that goal: 22-24g of protein per serving.
I also love that the whey in the protein powder comes from the best grass-fed cows. New Zealand has super high standards for its dairy industry, so I love that Karalynne sourced the whey (the protein part of milk) from there.
