Happy Friday!
Well my kitchen floor is, as I write this, being torn out. No idea what I am going to walk into when I get home.
Woke up Monday morning to water all over our floor from a failed valve under the sink.
So life is bananas over here. But isn’t that life?
Have you ever felt like your brain is saying, “Everything is going to be ok!”, but your body is registering stress on a whole other level?
I had to keep trying to preach truth to myself that even if I don’t have a kitchen for a very long time, people all over the world have made do with very simple setups to make food for their family and that God has got us.
Eventually, my body did regulate a little and I am feeling more confident that it will all be somehow used for good and that there is a lot I will learn through this process.
Ideas for Intentionality:
Here are some Ideas for Intentionality that have been useful for us through the chaos and even in the weeks before the kitchen flood:
My son turned 9 this week. This is what I got him in case you have some boys you are buying for soon:
– Roller Skate Shoes: He really wanted these shoes. I am not sure my husband loves him skating in the house, but hey not sure the floors can get worse haha. Seriously, he is having a fun time with these.
– Lego Idea Book: My sister got him this lego inspo book. We have sooo many legos and while I do still get him kits here and there, I like for him to get creative with the legos he already has. He was pumped about this book!
More Minerals: I am a squeaky wheel on this topic, but I ordered more mineral drops. I am convinced that adding them to electrolytes helps me feel sooo much better postpartum. I know my baby is 18 months, but I just now weaned her and my body still needs support. They taste awful, but quality electrolytes cover the taste and offer help with hydration.
Great Goggle 2-pack: this set is probably best for 5-7 year olds. I got them for my boys and they are just fine, they just look a little small on their heads. Maybe because I always see them in big baseball glasses. But this pack is a great price for the quality!
Quality, Good Price Shampoo: I have been trying to deep dive on hair care via YouTube hair pros. Some advice I have picked up is to use a good clarifying shampoo to really get the build up off the scalp. This shampoo is EWG verified (meaning it meets their strictest standards)!
Delivered Clean Diapers: The diapers I have delivered bumped up their discount for subscription diapers from 10% to 15% off per month. Combine that with my 10% off your first order code, and you get 25% off your first order! We have been using them for 18 months and I am extremely satisfied as they have made my life wayyyy easier! I haven’t run out of diapers once, mama hack for sure!
* Use LANA10 for 10% off your first order!
A course I am taking right now: I am currently taking my friend Kyrie’s Transformed Homemakers Course and I am loving it so much already! What I have been learning in the course really helped me bounce back even quicker through the chaos of a flooded kitchen. We all have room to improve on our homemaking journey and Kyrie is meeting a real need with this course! No affiliate code, just sharing that I love it so far!
Video of the Week:
Can you improve your life in just one-minute? I think so! These little one-minute habits have been so helpful to me as a mom. I think the last habit I shared transforms my day the most (hint hint I won’t be able to do it for awhile!)
And if you check out the video please leave me your TOP one-minute habit in the comments, I think it will help out other mamas so much to hear your ideas!
